book: overclocked

i finished overclocked by cory doctorow last weekend. here’s sme thoughts on it:

i really enjoyed several of the stories, although not really “i, row-boat”. as an aspiring writer, i liked watching the way that he picked certain elements, imagined the scenarios that would lead to them happening, and built around them. i think consistency and logic are the key in that. i also think it’s easier to do it that way than to be constrained by a consistent basis in the real world, like i had been previously trying. anyway, it was a fun read, and helpful in building up my own work.
